“Previously I had to collect water in the river. The water was not safe and my children often got sick.” Murshida, a mother of 3 in a drought-affected region of #Ethiopia collects water at a newly opened @unicefethiopia-supported water point. The water point is a much-needed lifeline in this community which has experienced chronic water shortages, now worsened by the drought. Prior to the establishment of this water point, community members had to spend several hours a day travelling to and from water points in neighbouring areas to obtain water for household needs. © UNICEF/UN022101/Ayene
