I am very upset now Here's a post I shared on my fb page if u want to read the whole thing. This pain & suffering is going on throughout North America in varying degrees by the hands of "doctors" who took an oath to heal animals & are declawing cats. Whatever way they amputate a cat's toe bones & claws, burning them off with their $35,000 laser or chopping them off with their guillotine cutters, they ALL are a complete disgusting disgrace to the veterinary profession. If these Evil despicable monsters would simply EDUCATE cat owners about this barbaric procedure & counsel clients about the humane alternatives and NOT do it, then we wouldn't see ANY stories about declawed cats suffering like this and being thrown away to shelters. Pls leave your vet that declaws & find one who is honoring their oath & NOT declawing. Please shame ANY vet who declaws cats, we must start to put the pressure on them in this way. They won't stop until you take your business elsewhere people. Get up off your lazy asses of your beloved & cherished sofas & teach your cats to use scratchers, trim their nails, & use Soft Paws if you are having an issue. Get out of the prehistoric dark ages& join the modern world & STOP torturing cats. Here are the words about this poor cat on the post, "Animal control brought this sweet soul in this morning. He was found on a golf course laying in the rain, after giving him the once over we quickly discovered that he had been recently declawed & he had bone exposure on multiple toes. He had been all four declawed & all of his toes were exposed. We quickly ran him over to the vet center to have him examined by one of the doctors. They determined that he needed surgery to clean up & close the skin. He will be on pain medication & antibiotics for the next several days while he heals. Please keep him in your thoughts as he still has a long road to recovery.
