Kristen Bartoloni and Cody Keenan were married on July 3 at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, D.C. The couple met on Ms. Bartoloni’s first day as a researcher for the White House communications department. Mr. Keenan, who is the chief speechwriter for President Barack Obama, was immediately smitten by Ms. Bartoloni, who would later reject all three of his attempts to date her, before finally saying yes. As Ms. Bartoloni and Mr. Keenan began to work closely together, he soon realized that she had one rule about dating and work: they don’t mix. “I didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea of why I was there,” said the bride.
