From Ruddy Roye (@ruddyroye), photographing in Baton Rouge, La.: "I don't think these people care about their lives. His body is not in the ground yet and the crowd is gone already." It was 2.45pm and there were three people at the memorial where Alton Sterling was shot and killed. One lady was sweeping the ground almost where he was killed, and the two other well wishers were walking around inquiring about where everyone else was. "None of the big names came out here. Where they at?" Chris asked. The frustration was printed across his face like the cross he carried on his forehead. "Who are we suppose to listen to or follow. Everyone buy their music but where are they now?" Chris was instrumental in getting the "Justice Wall" started. An artist asked to paint him and other people started to write notes to Alton. "The wall started because I was one of the first voices on the line to start screaming justice." The youth who hails from the Magnolia Projects in New Orleans told me that he has seen this kind of injustice all his life.
