I met this little girl today... & I know #BlackLivesMatter but have you ever thought of how to explain that to a 6 year old child who has a BLACK father & a CAUCASIAN mother ??? Does her mother not matter ? Should her household be torn in 1/2 because of the shared views of us adults in the world who can't seem to agree on who or what matters depending on which tragedy has struck the nation at the time ?!?!? Think about it... & I mean really think about it ! Why do we HATE each other so much ? Why do we dis-like one another so much that we are willing to sacrifice our freedom to erase someone else from the earth we all share ??? Yes, I'm BLACK & so are my children.... & YES, WE MATTER... In fact every race no matter the color or ethnicity MATTERS to that race.... & those lives MATTER to us as well... But everyone knows the struggle of AFRICAN AMERICANS & the injustices we've faced for hundreds of years & we are still plagued by a sad reality.. & that reality is.... We are one of if not the most MURDERED race on earth, by others & ourselves & this time something really has to be done !!! 1st, to get other races to understand that #BlackLivesMatter we have to lead by example & show the WORLD that we matter to ourselves. The biggest threat to a BLACK LIFE at this moment is another BLACK LIFE ! We are KILLING each other at a percentage that would bring tears to anyone's eyes if they have seen the statistics I've researched over the past few days.. This is REAL, I know this because up until last Thursday... I too was a HUGE PART OF THE PROBLEM. To know that, accept my role in it & want to change it for my race was a huge step for me.. Now, if I can get my brothers & sisters to walk with me on a mission to save each other's lives from EACH OTHER.. Then & only then will BLACK LIVES TRULY MATTER ! Once we show the world that..... They will finally understand & see what it really looks like for ANY LIFE TO MATTER... & on that day, we will understand what it looks like for ALL LIVES TO MATTER !
