The San Diego ComicCon wasn't the forum to voice these thoughts but they were on my mind the entire weekend. As I joined in the celebrations I was mindful of contingency plans in case someone wanted to "ruin the party." This weekend was about passion. It was about a bunch of creators saying to the world, "Here is our story. We've worked really hard to tell it to you and we hope it resonates." We PRISON BREAKERS felt the love in Hall H. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A great thing happened Saturday night on our way back to the hotel after the amazing EW party. San Diego was ALIVE with thousands partying in the streets. My wife and I were soaking it all up from our "bicycle cab." Two lanes over from us was a car full of boisterous fans. Although it doesn't matter, their families were probably immigrants from overseas. They waved and screamed out my name. I felt their love and let 'em know it! Just then a San Diego cop car pulled up between our "cab" and the car full of fans. I found myself impulsively saluting the cops and said to them simply, "Thank you for your service." I hope I made their night. I also hope they know they do the right thing by "serving and protecting" ALL of us. Black lives matter. So do "Blue" (cops) lives. Wake up tomorrow and start your day with a positive thought. Resist the urge to "stink eye" someone you think might be a Muslim. Resist the temptation to kick a cop or spit on a black man. Show the "haters" of the world that we feel their pain and we offer them an alternative. At the same time, if you know someone who is thinking about doing harm to themselves or to others, whether they're a friend or relative, get them help and/or tell someone. I have to believe that love will always conquer hate. I love you all. -Robert
