Hey friends. This is me as a kitten back in the day in 2009!
Let's help @hallmarkchannel get more eyes on their Kitten Summer Games show on Aug 5th! ❤️
It's all about finding homes for adoptable cats and kittens and the kittens are showing off their athletic skills and competing in various sporting events!
I'm one to tell you that I couldn't be the amazing athlete that I am if someone would have declawed me! ?
So let's all post photos of our kitties on our social media pages with #KittenSummerGames on them to help Hallmark Channel get more cats adopted AND put inspiring captions to NEVER declaw your kitties! I'm sad to say that around 1 in 4 kitties in America are declawed and that's around 2 million cats a year who have to go through this inhumane & unnecessary barbaric procedure. ??
@animalleague is helping with this event and @bethostern is the host.
Let's RESPECTFULLY remind @animalleague that instead of sitting on the sidelines in silence like they did for our Cat Protection Bill in NY, hopefully they will JOIN us in support next year, when the bill to ban declawing comes around again. The bill was defeated because the unethical veterinary leaders with NYSVMS, who support declawing, had more money and influence with the senators in NY. The welfare of cats needs to be first and foremost over anything else!
And give a BIG thank you to HSUS and @alleycatallies for being true advocates for all animals and for supporting the NY bill to end declawing! They are my heroes!
