Many years ago I shot a story for @ナショナルジオグラフィック on the Grimm's fairytales. The two brothers did not make up the tales themselves but gathered them from storytellers across central Germany. Having grown up in the very region where the Grimm Brothers lived and worked, I continue to hunt for additional images whenever I revisit the area - trying to find reflections of my own fairytale dreams.
An early morning ray of sunlight that peaks through a dense forest in the Reinhardswald Mountains, one of the oldest forests in Germany, reminded me of the tale of IRON HANS:
