#Sublime released its self-titled album 20 years ago today. ‘Sublime’ saw #BradleyNowell realizing the perfect summertime mix of upbeat hooks and punk-rock energy, layered over the danceable reggae beats of drummer #BudGaugh and bassist #EricWilson. It was the kind of record that was destined to become the soundtrack of camping trips, barbecues and stoner bonding sessions for years to come. But Nowell wasn't around to see himself become a star since he’d died of a heroin overdose on May 25th, 1996, while the album was awaiting release. Photograph by Steve Eichner
