It's International cat day and most of the rest of the world has banned declawing or considers it unethical and doesn't do it to cats. ❤️
Here's a little bit of hope for cats and kittens in Houston, Texas. The @houstonhumane society's longtime veterinarian just retired this weekend and they will be looking to fill his shoes. ?? Let's hope that they hire a veterinarian who can be influential in inspiring the leaders at Houston Humane to STOP declawing cats and kittens at their "Wellness Clinic" AND stop allowing people who adopt their cats to declaw them!
Also, their "Wellness Clinic" is closed for renovations until Aug 20 so at least kitties are safe from their $120 declaws for now.
Please respectfully try to inspire them to hire a veterinarian who knows that declawing is inhumane and who also can wake them up on how insane it is that a place that calls itself a "HUMANE" organization is doing this inhumane, non-therapeutic, and unnecessary procedure to cats.
