Among many other contributing factors, the pervasive nature of cycling in Denmark is definitely a contributing factor to the country's ongoing ranking as one of the world's happiest places. Everything from commuting, to bike polo, to art created from recycled bike parts, cycling is etched into Danish culture. The low level and consistent exercise that just commuting offers is likely one of the primary corollaries between the Danish cycling culture and its overarching cultural happiness. Ergo...if you want to smile more, find ways to incorporate exercise, however slight, into your daily routine.
