Nice spot to watch the sun go down last night after a jaunt in the mountains yesterday. Awesome to see @nicksethelson charging by below the upper saddle after he’d just climbed Teewinot, Mount Owen and the Grand in a little over 3 hours on his way to breaking @rolo_garibotti’s long standing Grand Traverse record. Rolo’s record of 6:49hrs held proudly for 16 years. Rolo’s totally legendary splits are times I’ve pondered often while on my own runs through the Tetons. Nick dropped 20 minutes off of Rolo’s record to take it down to 6:30hrs. If you’ve ever climbed the Grand or spent any time in the Tetons, you’ll understand how totally mind boggling that time is. The time is calculated car to car going north to south along the main summits (and sub summits) of the Teton Range - Teewinot, Mount Owen, the Grand, the Middle, the South, Cloudveil Dome and Nez Perce. Congrats to both Rolo and Nick for the inspiration....
