As this Caturday comes to an end, my friend Shiba, the little beautiful Himalayan Persian, got to see her last bird and take in the sights and smells of the outdoors.
Her nine lives lasted for 19 good, quality years, but now her kidneys are failing. Her amazing dad tried everything he could to make her better but tomorrow it's time.

Her life was what any cat could wish for. She greeted visitors at the front door, loved her scratching posts, got tasty meals, and enjoyed talking to the birds outside her window. Her dad went to a sushi bar each day last week when she was in the specialty hospital and got some fresh tuna and yellowtail for her to enjoy when she was still eating.
Her eyes had a message. Little Shiba sent word to me through my mom when she visited her today, that she is grateful for her amazing life with claws with truly caring humans who loved her unconditionally.
She told me to say to all of you, never give up with our important cause because every kitties' life with claws, does matter.
I'm sad now but I know she will be out of pain and suffering.
Her message makes me stronger and I won't give up for all our fellow kitties. They need us. They need you.
We must inspire each other and inspire others to join us. There is no option. We are all in this for one noble and important purpose and that's to give all kitties the right to live their lives like Shiba did. A wonderful clawed life.
Thank you Shiba for bringing joy and happiness to the lives of the humans you touched. Your beautiful turquoise eyes captivated us, your sweet demeanor touched us, and your fluffy white body made us smile... you were a gift to this world.
