What better hue to signal shocking life than a bright Begonia pink? In 2012, the artistic ideas of Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli were conjoined by The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in its exhibition "Impossible Conversations": a celebration of the intellect and unruly imagination of both designers. Schiaparelli was famously fond of pink, electrifying it to a new hue she termed Shocking Pink.
