Bill Sycalik recently ran a little over 26 miles through the jagged peaks of @SouthDakota’s @badlandsnps and the week before he did the same in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.

He is still getting used to his new life as a trail-running nomad. A few months ago on a weekday, he might have been working behind a desk in Manhattan. But in May, Bill Sycalik quit his job, moved out of his New York City apartment and drastically downsized.

Inspired by the #NPS100, he decided to complete a marathon in all 59 U.S. national parks over the next two years. On Saturday he will run his twelfth marathon in North Cascades National Park in Washington.
