Today the Christ the Redeemer statue got even more breathtaking: a giant mosaic of nearly 500 flags, each with a message inspired by the Olympic truce and produced by school children in the #Rio2016 education programme, has been laid around the feet of the statue, covering the entire viewing area around the monument.

Hoy el Cristo Redentor se vistió con mas de 500 banderas de escuelas de todo Brasil, cada una con un mensaje inspirado en la tregua olímpica. Fueron colocadas alredor del Cristo formando un hermoso mosaico.
