Sajad Al-Faraji, 15 (who is using a wheelchair), and his sister, Houda Al-Malek wait at Kurier Haus, a refugee processing centre in Vienna, Austria, where their family is applying for asylum. Their family – which also consists of their mother, Fatima Al-Hammoudi, and their brother, 13-year-old Zein Alabdien Al-Faraji, is from Basra Province in Iraq. Refugee and migrant flows into Europe remain at an unprecedented high.
