I've been thinking all day about the events of fifteen years ago. I was pregnant with this girl, woke up to the horrifying videos on the news, crying all day, and worried to bring her into this messed-up world. But in the days and weeks and months after 9/11, I remember how the beauty, support, and camaraderie lifted that fear. I will never forget the day, but I will also never forget the months that followed. I will never forget those who served, sacrificed, and needlessly suffered. And to all those who are still missing those who were lost on that day, I send my most sincere love and support to you.
