She often documents the daily goings on here at NYBG, profiling many of the hard-working horticulturists, students, and groundskeepers who contribute to the beauty of our 250 acres. "Me, today, in waders. We cleared the wetland today at the Native Plant Garden. John, the Head Gardener whom I've posted about before had us dredge out algae. My classmate and I spent all morning doing this. It was very peaceful. The water is dark because of the ink dye that John adds to block the sunlight growing algae needs for photosynthesis."
