Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPlightplay
Get out your glow sticks, lanterns and any other surprising sources of light you can find. The goal this weekend is to make darkness come alive in your pictures and videos.
Here’s how to get started:
Trace swirls or shapes with a handheld light (like a flashlight or sparklers) — and be sure to use a longer exposure or video to capture your creation.
Look for reflective surfaces in your surroundings (like windows and mirrors) that you can bounce light off of. This way, you don’t need to use a flash, but your subject will be bright.
If you’re attending a concert, festival or other evening event, be on the lookout for neon signs and stage lighting.
PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPlightplay hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
