It's not a one time thing, it will happen again. Your not the first person this has happened to. It doesn't mean he loves you, he will say he is sorry but trust me he's not. It will gradually get worse many lose their life because of the belief it will stop. Your children will pay the biggest price and they will be forever changed by it. Don't be embarrassed it's okay to reach out for help. It's not your fault, you don't have to stay. I understand how hard it is to get away and that right now it seems impossible but your strong and you can do this. You have to try I promise you'll be better for it and one day you'll look back and be happy you got away.

That's me on the left pregnant at 15 mommy and married at 16. That's my beautiful son on the right. When I was very young I married a very abusive guy I thought I could change him with marriage and a child. I endured a couple of years of abuse from him, hospitalized countless times. We split up for good when his abuse spilled over one night and my son was hurt. I almost lost my life at his hands and I have no excuse for staying as long as I did but I did leave to protect my child. A few years after our divorce he served over a decade in prison for attempted murder on his next relationship. I thank god I got away from him. I learned so much at such a young age. I hid the abuse from my parents and family until one day my sister saw it and I confessed to her she helped me get away and I'm glad I did. I'm lucky my son was too young to be affected but even now I still deal with my own issues from the abuse even now. I believe it's made me more aware and stronger so I no longer carry anger from it.
