In 2 weeks I decided to sublease my apartment, put my things in storage and move from LA to Texas. Something I never thought I would do, at least not right now. So I packed up my things and hit the road. Driving through the desert with my main squeeze, he made a comment about how big the sky looked. You could see from one side of the earth to the other side which made the sky look huge. It was clear and free of clutter. It was peaceful. It dawned on me that my life was so full of clutter I could hardly breathe, I was trying to "figure out my life" under all the clutter of Hollywood, the pressure of being "successful",(whatever that looks like?) But most of all I was trying to hear God amongst it all. And then in that moment, in the wide open space, I realized God was giving me room to think, to hear, to see the vision he has for my life.
I realized my soul was not well, so he came and rescued me. I didn't understand any of it at the time and it all happened so quickly, but God made it very apparent. He completely changed my environment. Sometimes we don't understand why things happen, but we have to know that there is a reason much bigger than ourselves. It may not look the way we want it to, but God is in control. So in this process I have learned to fully surrender. Surrender on a much bigger level than I ever have before.
God cares more about your soul, than your career, your bank account, or your social status. He is in the business of heart and soul. Is your soul well?
