Remember Teeger? He and his 2 siblings were declawed at an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) in California last year by a long time @avmavets and American Association of Feline Practitioners vet and because of complications from their declaws, they all have had most of their paws amputated. ? The vets talked their first time cat owners OUT of using the humane alternatives & said declawing was a standard & common procedure & that their cats would be totally fine. The vets deceived the cat owners to get the $1300 from the declaws. If you haven't read about this horrific story, just google "city the kitty 3 kitties." Any human being who takes an oath and vows to HEAL animals and then does this mutilating, inhumane, and unnecessary procedure is putting greed and laziness over the welfare of a cat and doesn't have the integrity or character to be trusted. There is never a reason to justify declawing a cat, especially when there are always humane alternatives that work. Declawing does NOT keep a cat in a home. Look at how many declawed cats are in shelters and rescues. It's a BIG lie that those pro-declaw people want you to believe. ? PLEASE find a legislator in your state who cares about animals and wants to sponsor a bill to ban declawing.
