Happy #worldvegetarianday . When I was 10 years old I adopted a tiny baby cat named Tucker. He was three days old and barely alive and my grandmothers dachshund George, on the left, nursed him back to health. When I was 19 years old, 32 years ago, I was looking at Tucker and I realized that he had two eyes And a central nervous system and an amazing emotional life and an innate desire to avoid pain and suffering. And a switch was thrown in my brain and I realized that every creature with two eyes And a central nervous system has an amazing emotional life and an innate desire to avoid pain and suffering. So on that day 32 years ago I became a vegetarian, and then a couple of years after that became a vegan. Fighting for #animalrights and #animalliberation is my life's work, also because animal agriculture contributes 50% of climate change gases and causes diabetes and heart disease and cancer and obesity and antibiotic resistance and rainforest deforestation. So happy #worldvegetarianday for the animals but also for the humans. "Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."-
