I met @martycastro7 and @jonathaninthesky on the shores of Crater Lake National Park last year. They were two of the first millennials I photographed during my year long journey around America's National Parks for this months cover story in @ナショナルジオグラフィック Magazine. Growing up in Los Angeles without much exposure to nature, they eventually were inspired to hit the road by the #roadtrip culture and the incredibly beautiful travel photos posted daily from adventurers on #instagram Across the country, I discovered that technology is actually helping to get young people outside and into National Parks more then ever.
