A cemetery we found on the outskirts of a Monastery. Almost every single headstone had those buried beneath having lived between 89 and 104 years old! These were people born in the 1800's. Like Pasquale de Nisco (read "Outliers"): festive living: family, celebration, friends, laughter. We've become so partisan. We are in this together. Let's bring the selfless back. Here in Italy there is such a feeling of care and helpfulness. If you hitchhike in the states the first thing you think of is being abducted. If you speed, you worry about a cop or being perceived as a threat. It wasn't always like that. We've become paranoid and we are creating our own violence. We are already great, we're just not very humble anymore, not a lot of humility.
Let's make America care about each other again. The politicians won't do it. Like all the great things we've ever done, it's always come from the people. #community #letsgetreal #abelincolncaredaboutallpeople
