Finally! Our first collection is online on our new page: BoldB.com.au We also created an IG account especially featuring our first collection and collections to come @boldbdesign My family and I have been working hard behind the scenes for the last six months and are proud to launch this collection today. As many of you know, it has been hard for me to keep up with the demand for my BoldB jewelry for some time now, and so in February of this year I decided to do something about it. I joined forces with my Australian family and together, we started the exciting process of growing the BoldB brand. We had no idea how much work would go into this process, but it has been a lot of fun. From trademarks to accounting, building a website and of course designing a collection, it had been a huge learning process for us. The biggest step was to find people that share the same values as us to collaborate with. After a great deal of research, we decided to work with craftspeople from the island of Cebu. Cebu has a long history of traditional woodwork and their skills are often passed on over several generations. Another important factor for us was the Island’s positive towards sustainability. I have always chosen to work with sustainably sourced materials, and this is something that the BoldB brand will continue to do. In June of this year we spent a month in Cebu to meet the makers to learn about their wood sourcing practices and to discuss our designs. We are proud to work with people who embrace small scale production and share our values of sustainability, fair work practices and high quality workmanship. For our first collection we used four different types of sustainable woods - jackfruit, redwood, mahogany and greywood. The collection features 24 pendant and earring designs. Each piece is carefully handcrafted in accordance with my designs.
