This is mommy Tammy. ?? We got Max's bile acid test result back, unfortunately it's abnormal, which means Max has liver shunt disease like Allie. ? There are different kinds of shunts. Allie had surgery at 6 months old to close a big shunt, even though she still has tiny little shunts (MVD- Microvascular Dysplasia) that can not be operated on, she is doing great with diet and meds. We're praying Max only has MVD (tiny little shunts) that can be controlled by diet and meds will not need surgery! ?? We talked to Eva last night, we will schedule him a appointment with the same surgeon that did Allie's surgery next month and go from there! Hopefully just CT scan and no surgery needed. ?? Right now Max is doing great! No signs or any symptoms of liver shunt at all! We already changed his diet to low protein and start giving Max liver supplement. ?
