Follow #TalesOfOurTime today for a sneak preview through the lens of some of our favorite @Instagram accounts! The exhibition, which opens tomorrow, features new commissions by artists from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. These artists use storytelling to propose alternate ways of exploring the concept of place, whether it be their hometown, a remote borderland, or China itself. The show’s title riffs on the name of a 1936 short-story collection by Lu Xun, a key figure in modern Chinese literature. In this book, he retells ancient legends to reimagine history and illuminate modern problems.
