Oh my heart! My baby girl is about to meet her idol @mistyonpointe #Nutcracker How the world has changed since I was a girl... I was the first 'black' girl to perform with the #LondonFestivalBallet in 1984 at #southbanklondon. I had to wear pale beige greasepaint like all the other kids - I didn't question it. But I was breaking down walls even then and I had no idea. Now my kid and all other kids have the potential to see themselves in every and any position society creates. No more barriers.
