"In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous." - Aristotle ... I wanted to write something meaningful and poignant after the election, but five days have passed and I've struggled. I've spent those days here in Yosemite, surrounded by nature and all of its beauty. There are a lot of ideas and emotions to process. It is vital to find some things to hold onto to learn from and move forward. Amidst the thoughts swirling in my head, a few have been sticking. To listen more and assume less. To never underestimate the power of togetherness. To never underestimate the power and strength of women acting together. And above all, to never ever ever underestimate the power and strength of mothers. While it is our job to teach love and compassion to our children, there is a toughness and fierceness in mama bears that is stronger than any I've ever seen or felt. ? #wecandohardthings #protectourearth
