Tyler's lump is an abscess, likely a result of a wound from a fight that wasn't treated immediately and got infected. They drained part of it earlier but Tyler started struggling and Dr Snowden, our vet, had to stop the procedure. He'll be starting on a course of antibiotics (Juroclav) right away and next week, I'll have to bring him in for the wound to be drained completely under general anaesthesia. I feel SO awful for not noticing the wound and not seeking veterinary attention earlier... can't imagine how Tyler must have been feeling. What an expensive lesson: today's consultation was $67.25 and next week's visit is estimated to be a whopping $600. Hopefully the medicine works and the follow up will not be necessary. Thank you, everyone, for caring about my baby as much as me. ❤️
