#Repost @susiesseniordogs ・・・ PHOENIX, AZ: Amazing Darrell is the kind of senior gentleman who you can take along with you anywhere that dogs are allowed to go. He loves riding in the car, meeting new people, dining al fresco...he'll find the fun in just about any activity! The problem is Darrell is homeless, and he doesn't have a family to take him on adventures. PLEASE SHARE! A volunteer wrote, "Darrell is flat out an awesome dog. He's friendly, loving, chill...there's just nothing bad to say about him. He's every awesome thing about a senior dog rolled into one adorable package. He's overall mellow, but has plenty of spunk and life in him. He enjoys walks and walks great on the leash. He's polite and quiet. He's equally happy to go on a little adventure with you, or just chill at home. Are you getting the idea yet? He's AWESOME! Darrell is listed as an 8 year old #AustralianKelpie mix. At the shelter, Darrell loves to say hi to everyone we walk by. He's super friendly and always up for a pet and a cuddle. Darrell has had a kennel mate around his size that he did well with. Dog intros are always recommended prior to adopting, so potential adopters can bring their dogs from home in and staff can help with a meet and greet. Unknown on small dogs or cats. I see no reason why he wouldn't get along with kids (although he hasn't met any at the shelter). I took Darrell on a little day outing to a local dog friendly patio and he did so awesome. He was hammin' it up with everyone that walked by, greeting them with a tail wag and his best 'pet me please!' face (it worked haha). He wasn't anxious or annoying at all while we were out. He was happy for attention, but not demanding of it. He came into the shelter as a stray in September. His $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license. Dog intros are always recommended prior to adopting. The shelter does not have the means to transport dogs out of state or country; we are hoping for a local adopter for Darrell."
