Image by @beverlyjoubert in the Selinda Reserve. A large bull elephant walks from a line of Lala palms where he has been gathering the fruit. He went to each palm and firmly shook it to release the fruit that hangs far out of reach. These fruit are heavy, like stones but being pelted with them doesn't bother him in the slightest. Elephants spend most of their day feeding and he will carry the seeds far from the parent trees to new areas where some may then germinate. #elephant #botswana #keystonespecies
