Damaya Hope used to miss breakfast. Often a late bus kept her from making it to the cafeteria to eat. Things changed when #NoKidHungry worked with her school in Maryland to move breakfast out of the cafeteria and into the classroom. Now she eats breakfast every day during her first period math class. And Damaya Hope puts it best, “When I come to school, I get school breakfast, so, like, when I go back to my classes, I can be focused and be successful, not be so tired. It basically like, feeds my brain.”
