by @drewtrush // The snow has started flying here in the U.S. and for me, that always means it’s time to start looking for mountain lions! Having the added benefit of snow allows researchers like @yellowstone_cougar_project to track these beautiful cats and find out where they are moving and where they like to walk. In this case, it means past a huge elk rack along the base of a cliff in Yellowstone National Park. We get a lot of questions as to wether or not we placed this rack there, but I can assure you this is how we found it. Because of a rule in the National Park that you can’t take shed antlers out of the park, we were able to set up our remote camera in this amazing location. Without that rule, this rack would have been long gone and hanging on someones wall. Think it’s fake? Follow along with @drewtrush to see the next image in the sequence and learn a little more of the backstory how we capture these images! @yellowstonenps
