NOW PLAYING ON @ネットフリックス (in the U.S. only for the moment): my movie @yogahosers! I can't tell you how happy this makes me! Folks didn't much like my weird kids movie (or my weird kid's movie) but I love it like a rescue dog! And now that it's in a place where it can be seen by more people, I hope the intended audience of #tween girls finally finds it. When I discovered #strangebrew on cable in the early 80's, I felt like it was made for ME - so much so that I tried to make my own version of a #bobanddougmckenzie flick with little girls 30 years later. My dream for #yogahosers was never box office domination (it's a deeply weird exercise in 80's video store rubber horror flicks). No, my dream for this @tuskthemovie spinoff was that some 10 or 11 year old girl would stumble across it on #netflix one day and fall in love with a flick that she felt was made just for her. So after a bruised & battered birth at last year's #sundance, a nation-wide tour and nearly unnoticeable theatrical release, #thecolleens can finally start finding friends in the streaming afterlife, where all movies are ultimately made equal. This was the moment I was waiting for since we started shooting back in August of 2014: the first day of the rest of Yoga Hoser's life.
