Building Bridges ~ The most important project I've ever worked on, nearing its culmination of awareness: @bridging.stories

Like all simple notions, this project began with an idea while on a @ナショナルジオグラフィック story in 2015...how to foster understanding between two beautiful nations, having individual photographers within their own countries, tell their own stories in the act of bridging indifference, building peace.

In collaboration with @anushbabajanyan, @serraakcan, #StorytellersCafe and with a kind grant from #USEmbassyArmenia, 12 photographers from Armenia, 12 from Turkey, embraced this concept. For the last four months, these talented individuals have been telling the most profound narratives on their similarities, yes, their differences, in the act of using photography as a actual catalyst of change.

This week, I begin editing with my dear friends and colleagues, Anush, Serra and Sofia, looking through nearly 500 photographs published on the @bridging.stories IG page, selecting 72 images for two exhibitions that will open in January, 2017, one in #Yerevan, the other in #Istanbul.

I am so thankful, in humbled awe, that nearly 7000 of you are following this project. The support all of you have given illustrates we can indeed bridge indifference, build peace, using photography.
