This is the last week to see the recent acquisition "And on A Different Note" on the Museum's first floor. Egyptian filmmaker Mohammad Shawky Hassan's footage of New York and Cairo unfolds to the sound of Egyptian political talk shows, with text superimposed on the screen. The distance between image and sound finds a parallel in the rich contrast between the banality of the static everyday scenes and the turmoil of post-revolutionary Egyptian politics.
