On Nov. 12, Terry Cosentino, left, and Tom Rock, right, dance with Dr. Ruth Westheimer as a gospel choir performs. The couple were married in front of 230 guests at the Whitby Castle in Rye, N.Y. Dr. Rock and Mr. Cosentino’s love story began in spring 2004, at a speed-dating event. Neither expected to meet a long-term partner, let alone a spouse. It was their common interests, chief among them a love for adventure and travel, that landed them a spot on the reality show @theamazingrace_cbs in 2006. Although they were eliminated, their time on the show solidified their bond. “All the other couples were fighting,” Mr. Cosentino said.
