I think a lot about the responsibility of raising boys... raising men, who will be part of the community, part of friendships and work environments and maybe be someone's husband one day.
I want them first and foremost to be kind men. To think about what other people are experiencing and to listen with an open mind. To be aware of their own feelings and to express themselves clearly. To not take things personally, to treat others with respect and to give love with their whole hearts.
I've been working my entire life to become someone capable of sharing this journey with them. I embrace both the challenge and these very little boys I am so grateful to have been blessed with.
