東京オペラシティ アートギャラリーで開催中の「画と機」関連展、「YOHJI YAMAMOTO / モード写真」が代官山ヒルサイドフォーラム（渋谷区猿楽町18-8）にオープンしました。国内外のフォトグラファーが捉えた数々の写真家達のオリジナルプリントをはじめ、ポスターやビジュアルブック(シーズンカタログ)を一同に展示。さらには、ヴィム・ヴェンダースによるドキュメンタリー作品や、伝説として今でも語り継がれている99年のウエディングコレクションなど、写真、映像、音楽の領域を横断し、常に時代のその先へと広がる山本耀司のクリエイションを紹介します。日本人写真家である田原桂一、山本豊のオリジナルプリントは今回が初めての公開です。また、Mark Borthwickが山本のために制作した'96-97 Autumn Winterのハンドメイドのヴィジュアルブックも特別に公開しています。ぜひ、この機会に「YOHJI YAMAMOTO」のヴィジュアル・ワールドをご堪能ください。

Fashion photography is often referred to as the “mirror that reflects the times” but Yohji Yamamoto’s mode photography had not been subjected to such notions. Whether it would be from 30 years before, Yohji Yamamoto’s clothes look current and do not exude a sense of time. His work has been put forth to the world through the lenses of a range of fashion photographers. This exhibition will show the original prints and posters of these photographers together in one place. The Yamamoto's documentary movie by Wim Wenders and the legendary wedding dress from 1999 will also be shown. Yohji Yamamoto’s creation that has always been at the forefront of every period will be shown across a range of mediums including photography, videography and music. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the visual world of Yohji Yamamoto.
