With all the family gatherings, holiday parties, and abundance of sugary treats, it can be easy for our immune systems to get run down during this time of year.

Whip up this immunity-boosting lemon, ginger, and honey concoction to help keep your body healthy and/or soothe your soul when a cold or flu bug manages to take hold.

INGREDIENTS:
2 lemons
2 pieces fresh ginger
10-12 oz raw honey
12 oz mason jar

DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice lemons and ginger.
2. Layer sliced lemon and and ginger in mason jar.
3. Pour honey to the top of the jar and seal jar tightly.
4. Store in the refrigerator. (I store mine for up to two months)

When you are in need of some soothing tea, scoop 2-3 tablespoons into a mug full of hot water—be sure to scoop whole pieces of ginger and lemon. Allow to steep for 3-4 minutes and sip away.
