#photooftheyear Amazing. Extraordinary. Phenomenal. This photo shows his extraordinary talent mixed with (very, very) hard work. But it brings (happy) tears to my eyes knowing (and seeing the last half of his career) the hard work he put in. The sacrifices he made. The passion he has. His dedication, his persistency, and his perseverance. He's always said he wanted to change the sport and he has done way more. Thank you Michael!
But beyond any accomplishment in the pool, it has been an absolute honor to see Michael grow as a human. Of course he has seen me grow from a little 14 year old. But it's been AMAZING to see the growth michael has made within himself. And to now see him share his journey and wisdom with the world is absolutely inspiring.
Lastly, it has been an absolute honor and blessing to see him build a family with his beautiful, wonderful wife (?) @mrs.nicolephelps ! The way he loves, he cares for, and he teaches boomer.
He is the perfect example of a "celebrity" (if that's what society like to call people who follow their hearts!) as he treats people with respect, is there for you at a drop of a hat, and shows the world how you can still be a "normal" person no matter what accomplishments one may have.
