I'll never forget that day in 1987. I was 10 years old. My dad picked me up from the airport in NY in a car and popped in a tape. "You gotta hear this song, Reed." The song was "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael. I'll never forget hearing those lyrics and that fucking beat and knowing I was learning about something way bigger than myself for the first time.
