Lactate test from the end of November 2016.
I start this test at 12km/h and we speed it up by 1km every 4mins with about 15second break between each interval while the tester measures your blood by the prick of your finger and then speed it's up to the next level. The test looks at the accumulation of lactate in your blood as exercise intensity increases. It also looks at your heart rate and from these two indicators you can see improvements and work out training zones etc. I generally do this test every 3 to 4 months. In this clip I am going 17km/h in the first part and 19km in the last part of the clip.
I highly recommend doing a lactate test to anyone that runs and wants to track improvement etc if you haven't already. Warning though: it is a brutal test. #runninggirl #instarun #fitspo @athleticsnz @NZ Olympic Team @adidas Running @skysportnz @sosrehydrate
