Image by @beverlyjoubert. A lioness in full hunting stalk at Duba in the Okavango. She is from the famous Tsaro Pride which has recently split into smaller groups and she is the sole provider of food for her young cubs and aging mother. She has been making full use of the reed beds to creep up on the lechwe antelope, which are thriving here. Her muscles are enormous and fully defined - typical of these Okavango cats who have no choice but to hunt in water and she has become highly adept at hunting on her own. #bigcats #okavangolions #predator #thisismytrophy
