Some unfussed evening journaling. I thought I'd share a peek here. This is the first part of my 2017 to-live list. I want to do less mere going-through-the-motions and live more through them, savoring the experience and moment. I was having a conversation with a friend recently and we talked about the desire to make room to connect with those in our lives outside of consuming things. Like going for a walk down the neighborhood or helping a friend put up new curtains and the simple enjoyment in the time shared doing that. That said, one of my favorite ways to enjoy time with others is over a meal or at a cafe (i.e. consuming stuff) but I think it would be nice to be able to connect outside the usual fare too. Who knows what new things can be discovered about our loved ones and about ourselves in the process. •
Some other notables on the list: have FUN! Be kind, love who you are, get the pen or the dress or the whatever that you love regardless if everyone has it or no one, go on a road trip just because, volunteer simply to be a fellow human being to another, listen to new music, visit a new city, be silly, be vulnerable, laugh, love, be loved.
