HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's a 14 year old #JerseyGirl review by #CaseyAffleck to start off #2017. Casey is currently crushing it in #manchesterbythesea (though I'd give him an Oscar for his genius performance as the @dunkindonuts guy on @Saturday Night Live a few weeks back). But in January of 2003, Casey emailed me the best review of my flick Jersey Girl that I'd ever receive - and kicked it off with a scary kick in the balls. I remember reading the opening paragraph and dying inside - until I got to his actual thoughts on the movie. As great of an actor as Casey is, as you can see by his review (and in #goodwillhunting and on #snl) that he's also an educated, eloquent, bitingly funny fucker (with questionable taste in movies) who loves taking the piss out of his boys Ben and Matt. I take great comfort in knowing that Casey has finally achieved his goal of being in a movie that could make producer Chris Moore blubber like he did at that first Jersey Girl screening (SPOILERS: Manchester by the Sea is a massive tearjerker). #KevinSmith #kevinsmithmovies #miramax
