On the morning of New Year's Day I joined forces with some great yoga teachers at the @YogaBarn in Bali for a benefit yoga jam in support of the Bali Water Protectors www.idepfoundation.org The northern side of the island of Bali has been suffering worsening drought each year as a result of climate change, deforestation which leads to erosion and increased water demands due to tourism on other parts of the island. The lack of water has lead to extreme poverty, hunger and health issues for the people who live there. IDEP has been helping people to help themselves by working with communities to create catchments that funnel rain water back into wells that have gone dry, providing water for drinking and agriculture and replenishing underground aquifers that will eventually help forests to regrow. #waterprotectors #bali #waterislife #ubud #yoga #newyearsday2017 #music #yogi #consciousmusic #water #dance @soulshinebali
